Genesis 25, 27
1. How did Jacob get his brother’s birthright? How about the blessing?
Answer: Esau was hungry, so he traded his birthright for some of Jacob’s stew. Later, Rebekah and Jacob made Jacob look like Esau to trick Isaac to get his blessing.
2. Did Jacob’s sin cause God’s plan to fail?
Answer: God was in control and His plan prevailed, despite Jacob and Rebekah’s sinful tricks. God’s covenant with Abraham continued to the next generation.
